Maegan Session

So, I spent an overcast mid-afternoon with Nigel, his wife Niki, and their not-at-all shy daughter, Maegan. It was a nice, cool, and slightly breezy Saturday spent stomping around local tulip gardens and crepe myrtles. The day was great for photos. We had a nice neutral gray cloud coverage that did a wonderful job of blocking the harsh light of the sun, as well as keeping a soft ambient light throughout the shoot. As a result, there were no hot-spot highlights or terribly dark shadows to work around. Maegan was absolutely content to just sit by and admire the flowers, which made my job as the photographer that much easier. I only wish all kids were just half as happy to sit still long enough to snap a few shots =)
