This beautiful ceremony took place in Saint Mary Catholic Church, located in downtown Hagarstown, Maryland. While we did shoot the engagement session locally, the ceremony itself was held in Maryland to be closer to family. Sara, the Bride, grew up here and was a member of this parish in her youth, so what other location would be more fitting?
Though it was a rushed weekend with travel, setup, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception, both families of the Bride and Groom were most welcoming and were eager to assist me in anyway that they could. It is always humbling to witness such loving families, and I do appreciate all of their hospitality and kindness during the events. Thank you for that.
My morning started with the Bride, Sara, at the Bella Salon hair and makeup where I met the remaining Bride’s Maids. After, I met up with Kirby, the Groom, at the hotel for a few shots before the limousine arrived. At that point, I raced back to the Bride’s father’s home for a few detail shots of the dress, then finally arriving at the church to catch everyone preparing for the ceremony. GPS is a marvelous invention! I will admit that I was a bit out of breath by the end of the day, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
You two are a beautiful couple. While we’ve been friends for some time now, I am still very honored to have taken part in this very special day. Thank you, sincerely, for your trust and patience in photographing your wedding.
Congratulations, and all the best to you both! I miss you guys!
